Common questions

Everything you need to know before signing up.

Yes — the core app is completely free. Unlimited recipes, orders, and full access to the profit calculator and dashboard. A Pro plan with advanced reporting is in development but the free tier will always exist.
Completely. Your recipes and orders are tied to your account and nobody else can see them. The app uses Supabase for storage with row-level security — meaning even at a database level, data is locked to your user ID.
Yes. BakeOps is fully responsive and works in any mobile browser. Just go to bakeops.ibmo.group on your phone and log in — no app download needed.
When you save a recipe you set the base batch size (e.g. makes 12 cupcakes). In the scaling tool you enter any target quantity and every ingredient amount updates automatically to the right proportion. Great for market prep.
Currently each account is single-user. Multi-user team support is planned for the Pro tier. For now each baker can have their own free account.

💡 Give your recipe a clear name and category so you can find it easily later. The batch size tells BakeOps how many items this recipe makes at once.

What do you call this bake? Be specific — "Lemon Drizzle Loaf" is better than "Cake".

E.g. if your recipe makes 12 cupcakes, enter 12. You can scale this up or down in Step 3.

Set this once and the Batch Calculator will use it automatically — no need to re-select it every time.

$

A price floor for this recipe — your final charge will never go below this, even if the calculated price would be lower.

Aim for at least 30% margin. Under 15% means you're barely covering your costs. Under 0% means you're losing money on every sale.
